Seminar Held in Memory of Koreans Killed during Great Kanto Quake
Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- A seminar took place in Osaka of Japan on September 22 to mark the lapse of 100 years since the massacre of Koreans was committed by the Japanese imperialists during the great Kanto quake.

Present there were Koreans in Japan and Japanese citizens.

A video carrying eyewitness evidence was shown at the seminar.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of those Koreans who were killed during the quake.

Then followed a report and speeches.

The reporter and speakers charged that the groundless rumor "Koreans raise in riot" was spread at the time of the great Kanto quake and unprecedented killings were committed.

Though a centenary have passed since then, the probe into the truth behind the massacre of Koreans and the apology and reparation by the Japanese authorities have not yet been made even now. On the contrary, the historical facts have been concealed and distorted, they said, contending that the massacre was a state-sponsored crime as it was planned and committed by the Japanese government and military.

They urged the Japanese authorities to make an apology and reparation for the massacre.

At the end of the seminar, a declaration on further developing the solidarity movement for demanding the probe into the truth behind the massacre of Koreans and the apology and reparation from the Japanese government was adopted.
