DPRK Proves Successful in 19th Asian Games

| Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Pang Chol Mi won the women's 54kg boxing in the 19th Asian games by beating her Chinese rival 3:2 in the final. Ri Chong Song clinched gold in men's 81kg weightlifting. He lifted 169 kg in the snatch (new Asian Games record) and 195kg in the clean and jerk, and 364 kg in total (new Asian games record). Won Un Gyong collected silver in the 60kg women's boxing, So Chon Ryong bronze in the 51kg men's boxing and O Kum Thaek bronze in the 73kg men's weightlifting. |
