Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, guided the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Vice-Premiers Pak Jong Gun, Yang Sung Ho and other members of the Cabinet.

Present as observers were officials of organs under the Cabinet and ministries, chairpersons of provincial, city and county people's committees and officials of agricultural guidance organs and major industrial establishments.

The meeting reviewed the fulfillment of the third quarterly national economic plan for implementing the resolutions of the plenary meeting of the WPK Central Committee, and discussed the measures for successfully carrying out the national economic plan for this year.

Vice-Premier Yang Sung Ho made a report.

The reporter said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un powerfully aroused the people of the country to the struggle for ushering in a new era of national prosperity with his great wisdom and energetic leadership.

He noted that all sectors and units of the national economy have made precious successes through a dynamic production and creation drive to attain the goals for this year in the third quarter.

The report analyzed and reviewed the defects and deviations revealed in some units' work for implementing the third quarterly national economic plan.

The reporter called on all sectors and units to attain the 12 major goals for the development of the national economy without fail and carry out the fourth quarterly and annual national economic plans by displaying scientific operational ability and tenacious practical ability.

The enlarged plenary meeting referred to the important issues of providing a decisive guarantee for the fulfillment of the Five-year Plan this year by thoroughly implementing the resolutions of the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and of raising the operation rate of farm machines to the maximum in the agricultural field and carrying on the agricultural operations and direction in a scrupulous way so as to unconditionally attain the grain production goal, before taking necessary measures.
