Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made an address at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

Speakers said that the founding of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung was a solemn declaration heralding the birth of a revolutionary party in the era of independence and a great event that brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of the Korean people.

They noted that Chairman Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into a mother party serving the popular masses and a seasoned and experienced party with invincible guiding power and demonstrated the dignity and might of Kim Il Sung's Korea to the whole world with his outstanding idea and theory and extraordinary leadership.

The WPK has become more brilliant as the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist party as it holds the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem as its top leader and the Korean revolution has entered a new high stage of achieving the comprehensive development of socialist construction, they said.

They stressed that all the workers and trade union members should hold Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the sun of Juche and glorify forever the party-building exploits performed by the peerlessly great men.
