On this occasion, the Korean people are recollecting with deep emotion the undying feats of the peerlessly great man who provided a fundamental guarantee for accomplishing the socialist cause.

He set it as his lifelong task to develop the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung and ensured that the party building and activities were conducted as required by Kimilsungism from A to Z.

He pursued the benevolent politics, an all-embracing politics to build up the WPK into a motherly party which has struck its roots deep among the popular masses and devotedly serves them.

Socialist policies had been invariably enforced under the care of the peerlessly great man, who reflected all the simple ideas of people in the policies, and thus the advantages and truth of Korean-style socialism were proven more strikingly.

He formulated the Songun (army-first) politics as the basic political mode under socialism and as the revolutionary leadership mode of the WPK in view of the practical requirements of the revolution, thus honorably defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country from all sorts of the hostile forces' anti-DPRK moves.

He opened up an original way of putting the Party and the revolutionary ranks on an elite and powerful basis with the Korean People's Army as the core and of pushing forward the revolution and construction by dint of the Songun politics. This was a noteworthy event unprecedented in the history of building a socialist ruling party.

It was thanks to the wise leadership of the peerlessly great man that the DPRK could develop into an invincible politico-ideological power and a world-level military power despite the tempest of history.

That's why the Fourth Conference of the WPK in April Juche 101 (2012) adopted a decision on holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the WPK in reflection of the unanimous will and desire of all the Party members, service personnel and other people.

Today, the Korean people pay the highest tribute to the peerlessly great man who laid an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country by leading the WPK only to victory.
