Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, made an address to be followed by speeches.

The speakers said that the long history of the WPK after its foundation is a proud one in which it has bore the responsibility for the destiny of the people and made selfless, devoted efforts for them.

They stressed that the seasoned leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who set a brilliant example in building a revolutionary party in the era of independence and had developed the WPK into an invincible and genuine mother party deeply rooted among the popular masses, was the driving force that enabled the country and people to win only miraculous victories.

They said that the WPK is further demonstrating its might as the powerful guiding force under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who declared the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme of the party and set forth the great immortal programme guaranteeing the party building in the new era forever, ushering in a heyday of strengthening the whole party.

They called for fully displaying the strong mental power and patriotic devotion of the Korean women, rallied closer around the great Party Central Committee, and thus making a genuine contribution to glorifying this significant year as a year of great changes to be specially recorded in the history of the country.
