The enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee held in February Juche 109 (2020) when a world-wide disaster swept the earth marked an important occasion in thoroughly applying the people-first principle to the activities of the Party and state.

Through the Party meetings, including the Sixth Enlarged Meeting of the Seventh Central Military Commission of the WPK held in September as regards the huge damage caused in the Komdok area of South Hamgyong Province, the Korean people have keenly realized the revolutionary nature of the WPK and its invincible leadership ability leading them to ever-victorious road.

The Eighth Congress of the WPK, which marked a turning point in the militant path for the development of the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party and the overall development of the socialist cause of our own style, was an important occasion that demonstrated once again the greatness of the WPK's people-first idea and the immutable revolutionary climate of the Party.

The Second Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Party decided to build 50 000 flats in the capital city alone and 10 000 flats every year to this end, while pushing ahead with housing construction throughout the country during the five-year plan.

The benevolent image of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was deeply cherished in the hearts of all the people as he issued a specially written order he personally signed with a sincere intention to contribute to stabilizing the people's living even a bit and gave precious instructions on improving the Party's policy of childcare at the Third Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.

As part of the important measures to reinforce the economic foundations of the farms, the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK took a preferential measure to exempt the farms from the large amount of loans they had not repaid to the state.

Upon hearing the news of the plenary meeting which set it as the Party's policy and the eternal state policy of the DPRK to give top priority to providing school uniforms to children without any conditions, and which made it possible to spend a huge amount of money on the field of light industry, the people across the country extended gratitude to the great Party Central Committee.

The Second Conference of Secretaries of the Primary Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea held in February 2022 was recorded as a significant conference which advanced the idea of enhancing the militant function and role of the primary Party organizations and of having all the secretaries of the primary Party committees become true political workers.

In May 2022, when the malignant virus made inroads into the DPRK and threatened the people's life and health, Kim Jong Un convened the Eighth Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK and other important Party meetings one after another and indicated the principles, tasks and ways for coping with the prevailing anti-epidemic crisis.

A resolution on adopting the five-point orientation based on the original idea and theory of Party building as the line of Party building in the new era of our Party was adopted at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

"On the Immediate Tasks Arising in This Year's Farming and the Long-term Objectives for Agricultural Development", the historic conclusion made by Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea in February 2023, fully supported and approved by all the participants.

At the Fifth Enlarged Meeting of the Eighth Central Military Commission of the WPK, all the participants were deeply moved by the great trust of Kim Jong Un who put forward the Korean People's Army again in the van of building a thriving nation to provide the people with civilization and happiness.

With the major Party meetings, a heyday of strengthening the whole Party was ushered in and a fierce drive for implementing the Party's resolutions was launched across the country to bring about changes in the people's well-being on this land and put the dignity and national power of Juche Korea on the highest level.
