Present there on invitation were Im Chon Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ji Kyong Su, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, Pak Kyong Chol, vice-minister of Culture, Kim Ho Yong, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, and officials concerned.

Staff members of the Russian embassy were on hand.

Speeches were made there.

The speakers said that the establishment of diplomatic relations based on respect for sovereignty and equality between the two countries provided a sure guarantee for the sustainable and constructive development of the friendly and cooperative relations.

They expressed the stand to positively contribute to further consolidating the traditional ties of good neighborly cooperation rooted in comradely friendship and militant unity and revitalizing the bilateral relations, true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the two countries.
