In the message, the chairman extended sincere congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Soviet Union and the DPRK.

Noting that the Soviet Union became the first state to have recognized and established diplomatic relations with the DPRK and given selfless, fraternal support to it, the message said:

The relations between the two countries, provided by the great leaders I. V. Stalin and Comrade Kim Il Sung in the days when the Soviet Union and Korean soldiers fought shoulder to shoulder to drive out the Japanese militarists and win the freedom of Korea, have stood severe trials for a long period of time and demonstrated to the whole world the true value of friendship.

Saying that for the past decades, Russia and the DPRK have accumulated good experience in constructive cooperation over the geopolitical and regional security issues, the message expressed great satisfaction over the close cooperation between the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Workers' Party of Korea in the issues arising in the wide range of the state and party relations.

Today, too, we are striving to strengthen the comradely ties and good-neighborly relations and are advancing for global peace, stability and prosperity, it said.

The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and success in his work and all the citizens of the DPRK well-being and prosperity.
