Big Efforts Paid to Prevention of Forest Fire
Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The field of land and environmental protection in the DPRK pushes ahead with the work to prevent forest fire under the autumn conditions.

Officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and relevant units are strengthening the guidance to prevent any slightest weak point in the work.

The ministry has taken practical measures to prevent forest fire in advance and promptly respond to any possible outbreak of forest fire, in the light of experience and lessons of the past period.

Its officials went to the spots to check all risk factors and settle the issues arising in repairing and building of fire lines in a timely way.

Efforts are paid to enhancing the role of forest rangers and reinforcing fire observation posts.

Political work has been conducted to make the residents strictly abide by the discipline of entering mountains and inform the relevant organs of any possible forest fire in time.

Efforts are also directed to providing enough vehicles for the prevention of forest fire and mobilizing them immediately in case of emergency.
