In April 2012, he authored famous works "The Great Comrade Kim Il Sung Is the Eternal Leader of Our Party and Our People" and "Let Us Brilliantly Accomplish the Revolutionary Cause of Juche, Holding the Great Comrade Kim Jong Il in High Esteem as the Eternal General Secretary of Our Party" to put forward the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the unique guiding idea of the WPK and the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as its supreme programme and set forth the tasks for developing it into the eternal party of the leader.

He has conducted his energetic ideo-theoretical activities to develop the WPK into an invincible revolutionary Party strong in organization and remarkably enhance its leadership ability and fighting efficiency.

Prioritizing the building up of Party cells and primary Party committees as the two major tasks for strengthening the whole Party, he provided a series of action programmes that serve as guidelines for enhancing the functions and role of the basic Party organizations in every way.

He personally guided the first short course for chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees and gave precious instructions on enhancing the role of chief secretaries to strengthen the Party work and develop the cities and counties in keeping with the importance of cities and counties and the position of city and county Party committees.

He organized a special workshop for officials in the party life guidance sections of organizational departments of party committees at all levels of the WPK to give an immortal grand programme for building the Party organizations in the new era that should be regarded as guidelines in more thoroughly establishing the monolithic leadership system of the Party Central Committee through the whole party and society, realizing the organizational and ideological consolidation of the Party ranks in every way and enhancing the leadership functions and role of the Party.

He also provided more powerful ideo-theoretical and methodological weapons for strengthening the whole Party through his tireless ideo-theoretical activities for Party building to bring about a fresh turn in the Party's ideological work and establish iron discipline and revolutionary climate within the Party.

With the 8th Congress of the WPK as an occasion, he saw to it that the Party rules, the basic norms of Party building and activities, were amended to meet the requirements of the developing revolution and the Juche-oriented principles of Party building and that the work of establishing a well-regulated work system and a stronger discipline throughout the Party was intensified. And at the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and the meetings of its Political Bureau, he took measures to establish the unconditional service for the people as a revolutionary climate of the Party. His wise guidance developed the Party building and activities onto a new higher level.

The General Secretary made an important speech "Let Us Further Improve Party Work in Line with the Demands of the Period of Fresh Development of Socialist Construction" made at a lecture to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the WPK. This speech serves as a monumental document of great significance in dynamically pushing forward the building of Korean-style socialism by further developing the overall Party work as required by the new era of a great prosperous and powerful country.

On the significant day marking the 96th formation anniversary of the DIU, he clarified the orientation of Party building in the new era. This is a historic event that indicated the path for leading the nearly 80-year ruling history of the WPK to one of 800 years and 8 000 years and provided an eternal foundation for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche by preserving the character and nature of the dignified Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party forever and steadily enhancing its leadership ability.
