Officials of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry directed efforts into finishing the overhauling of waterway tunnels at the Huichon Power Station No. 1 ahead of schedule in cooperation with different power stations.

The Huichon Power Station repaired tens of meters-long iron pipes in a short span of time by conducting a brisk socialist emulation and displaying collectivism.

Suphung, Sodusu, Jangjingang and other power stations carried out the planned overhauling ahead of schedule while speeding up the dismantling and assembling of generators.

Hochongang, Jangjingang and other power stations accelerated the dam-reinforcing project by introducing rational construction methods.

The planned project for repairing ten-kilometer-long waterway tunnels and overhauling tens of generators and reinforcing dams was carried out in a short span of time to open up a prospect for steadily boosting the production of electricity.
