The exhibitions are aimed to widely generalize the research successes and experience gained in the course of settling sci-tech problems for the fulfillment of the five-year plan set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and actively introduce and disseminate ultra-modern scientific experimental apparatuses and teaching aids, thus training more talents.

They brought together teachers, researchers, graduates and students from over 180 universities and colleges, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, Wonsan University of Agriculture and Sariwon University of Geology.

Presented to the exhibitions were more than 2,100 pieces of scientific research achievements and 1 500 experimental apparatuses and teaching aids.
