The 61st candlelight rally and demonstration took place in Seoul on Oct. 21 to oust traitor Yoon Suk Yeol.

It was attended by more than 50,000 people from all walks of life including workers, peasants, the poor, citizens, students and religionists from different areas under the sponsorship of the Candlelight Action.

There were preliminary meetings of mass organizations including the People's Action, the Headquarters of the Movement for Resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol Regime, the Federation of Peasants Associations and the emergency situation council in different parts of Seoul.

Speakers at the meetings said that the U.S. is the root cause of all evils on this land.

The resolutions said that they would wage a vigorous struggle to check the war alliance for peace on this land and bring down Yoon following the U.S. policy of hegemony and fostering the war crisis.

Candlelight rallies took place in Pusan, Ulsan and other areas on the same day in demand of the resignation of traitor Yoon.

The public struggle for terminating the pro-U.S., pro-Japan and anti-popular rule of traitor Yoon has entered a more extensive phase.

On Oct. 18, mass organizations including the People's Action, the Candlelight Action, the Headquarters of the Movement for Resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol Regime and the emergency situation council turned out in the struggle to oust traitor Yoon with due ceremony in Seoul.

The Confederation of Trade Unions said that more than 150 000 workers would join the all-out people's action, and a grand march group of workers and other masses for ousting the Yoon Suk Yeol regime left Jeju Island on Oct. 20.

At a press conference in this regard, speakers said that the present situation on this land is like the one in the period of the fascist dictatorial regime, the root cause of all reactionary deeds and crisis is Yoon, adding that the pain and sufferings of workers and other people can never be stopped as long as he remains in power and the only way of overcoming them is to bring down him.
