Presented to it are at least 2,800 valuable inventions and IT products reflective of their exhaustive academic and scientific pursuit and simultaneously conducive to solving the sci-tech problems arising in attaining the 12 major goals for the development of the national economy.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned, officials of the youth league and students.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
