Steps Taken in DPRK to Hit Forest Restoration Target
Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people across the DPRK are pushing ahead with the forest restoration work.

Officials and employees of the North Hamgyong Provincial Tree Nursery have successfully raised good saplings by introducing advanced sapling cultivation technology, taking into account the species needed for autumn tree planting.

The Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery has invented and introduced new methods to thoroughly meet the technical requirements for manuring and cultivating saplings and raise the survival rate and growth rate.

Cities and counties of North Hwanghae Province are gathering many species of tree seeds including wild fruit trees.

South Hamgyong Province worked out a detailed plan for gathering tree seeds and has aroused the masses to carrying it out.

North Phyongan Province is making full preparations for raising more saplings of good species through introduction of practical method.

South Phyongan Province and other regions, too, are taking measures to attain the goal of forest restoration, including the preparation for storing saplings and seeds and securing agricultural chemicals.
