More Iron and Steel Produced in Metallurgical Industrial Sector of DPRK
|Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the field of metallurgical industry of the DPRK are putting spurs to the production of iron and steel to successfully conclude this year.
Officials of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry are pushing ahead with the operation and command for producing iron and steel and carrying out the strategy for readjustment and reinforcement on the spot.
The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex has completed the construction of a new-type oxygen heat blast furnace, installation of oxygen separator and the project for replacing the Musan-Chongjin long-range concentrated ore pipeline planned for this year. And it has increased the production of iron and steel by introducing advanced science and technology and advanced working methods.
Officials, technicians and workers of the Chollima Steel Complex are over-fulfilling their daily plan for producing rolled steel by raising the operation rate and utilization rate of equipment while pushing ahead with the project for establishing more continuous casting machines at the final stage.
The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex has completed the construction of medium-frequency induction furnace and stepped up the preparations for its trial operation and production.
The Chongjin Steel Plant is striving to supply more iron trioxide to different sectors of the national economy while pushing ahead with the construction of the vertical furnace for oxidizing roasting pellet.
Iron ore mines and supply units across the country are making innovations.
