True to the intention of the Party Central Committee to glorify this year as a year of great turn and change to be recorded in the course of development of the DPRK, all-people struggle for production and creation was dynamically waged to make a substantial advance and development on all fronts of socialist construction.

This year's goal of irrigation construction has been achieved in the main, remarkable successes have been achieved in attaining the goal of grain production and housing construction is being pushed forward as planned.

The trend of growth has been steadily carried forward in all sectors of economic construction, and a heyday of leap forward in bolstering up the national defence capability and a bright prospect for improving the people's living standard have been opened. This is a demonstration of the loyalty and irresistible might of our people who are upholding the Party's plans and decisions through dynamic action.

Now there are only two months left before the completion of this year's struggle which started with new confidence and hope and indomitable will.
