The exhibition and presentation held under the theme of "putting afforestation and conservation of forests on a scientific basis" are aimed at widely disseminating and generalizing the sci-tech achievements made in afforestation and conservation of forests, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on creating forests in a long-term and scientific way.

More than 100 scientific and technological proposals were presented by officials, scientists, technicians and teachers of over 60 units, including Kim Il Sung University, the Academy of Forest Science of the Forestry General Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and provincial forest science institutes.

The exhibition will be held in a mode of virtual exhibition through the website "Platform for National Exhibition of IT Successes" opened on the nationwide data communication network, and the presentation through video conferencing.

During the period, there will be a symposium on putting afforestation and conservation of forests in the area of Mt Paektu on a scientific basis.
