The exhibition aims at boosting the variety of products and decisively improving their quality by exchanging and sharing the scientific and technological successes and experience gained in the production of processed marine products and conducting a dynamic emulation among production units.

On display there are more than 780 sorts of processed seafood of at least 370 kinds produced by more than 100 units across the country including the Sinpho Distant-Sea Fishery Complex, the Samchon Catfish Farm and the Pyongyang Catfish Farm.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials concerned and officials, scientists and technicians of the exhibiting units.

Song Chun Sop, minister of Fisheries, made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition.
