The multi-functional and modern outdoor theatre has an auditorium of thousands of seats, stage, hobby group room, sound and lighting equipment. The theater, built in the scenic spot, will serve as an extracurricular educational base and leisure facility for schoolchildren and working people in the province.

Present at the inaugural ceremony on November 14 were Han Chil Song, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders, employees of the theatre and youth and students in Kanggye City.

Kim Yong Chun, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an inauguration address to be followed by speeches.
