Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory Inaugurated
Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory has been splendidly built thanks to the noble intention of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Thanks to the personal proposition and energetic guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the factory has been built as a modern and comprehensive medicine producer of which the production lines and environment satisfy the international standards. It will make the people benefit more from the socialist public health system.

An inauguration ceremony of the factory was held on Nov. 21.

Present there were Pak Thae Song, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Choe Kyong Chol, minister of Public Health, Kim Sung Jin, president of the State Academy of Sciences, officials concerned, officials and employees of the factory, builders, scientists and technicians who made contributions to upgrading the factory.

The participants first laid bouquets before the mosaic depicting the image of President Kim Il Sung and made a bow.

Jon Sung Guk, vice premier of the Cabinet, made an inauguration speech.

The speaker recalled that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the factory despite the intense cold of midwinter on Jan. 24, Juche 107 (2018), laid out a wonderful blueprint for building the factory as the centre and example of the country's pharmaceutical industry, adding that the General Secretary paid special attention to upgrading the factory despite his tight schedule.

The speaker called for bringing about a new turn in the production of medicines by scrupulously managing equipment and improving technical control, integrating science and technology with production and ensuring the thorough hygienic safety of medicines in hearty response to the important tasks given by the General Secretary during his field-guidance to the factory.
