On display there are more than 280 kinds of building materials on 16 indices conducive to increasing the production of building materials based on locally available raw materials, improving their quality and diversifying and multi-coloring finishing building materials at building material production units in each province.

The exhibition will bring together on-the-spot evaluation of the preparatory committee for provincial building materials exhibition and expert evaluation and mass evaluation, and assess the state of contribution of the building materials production bases to the national construction projects, regional construction and rural construction, the state of solving the scientific and technological problems for domestic production of building materials and recycling and the state of building production processes suited to environmental protection.

During the exhibition there will be the visit to the Pyongyang Building Materials Factory and the Mirim Colored Tilery and a lecture on paints, waterproofing agents, colored mortars and plastic building materials.

Present at the opening ceremony were Vice-Premier Pak Hun, Chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology Ri Tu Il, Chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee Choe Hui Thae, officials concerned and officials and working people of building materials production units.
