Efforts to Preserve and Manage National Cultural Heritages Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- A brisk work is going on in different parts of the DPRK to preserve and manage national cultural heritages.

This year alone, scores of historical sites have been repaired.

Mangyongdae District in Pyongyang Municipality colorfully repainted the Popun Temple, made roof waterproof and covered the roof with new tiles to restore the temple to its original state.

North Phyongan Province repaired the Taesakju Fort in Taegwan County and the Sogori Fort in Chonma County, and South Phyongan Province restored the Anguk Temple to its original state.

North Hwanghae Province, too, repaired the Fort of Mt Jongbang in Sariwon City, the Kwanmun Fort in Pongsan County and the Wol Fort in Thosan County.

Similar works have been conducted in North and South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces and other provinces, cities and counties across the country.
