The new era of self-respect and prosperity, the era of our state-first principle, is shining more brilliantly with epochal miracles and great changes to be specially recorded in the history of the nation, thanks to the tenacious practical ability of the Workers' Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK that carry out anything without fail when determined to do, the editorial says, and goes on:

This year our people have achieved proud successes in all fields of socialist construction through an indomitable offensive to implement the major Party and state policies and tasks set forth at the Party Congress and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

It is the revolutionary mode peculiar to the Korean people to make strenuous efforts to attain higher goals without being complacent with the successes achieved.

Let us further accelerate the advance for overall state prosperity with the same spirit and mettle as were displayed in powerfully demonstrating the dignity and might of Juche Korea. This is the firm faith and steadfast will of all the Korean people.

It is necessary to make uninterrupted innovations, continuous advance and leap forward to lead the present proud achievements to greater successes and victories.
