Gift Plants

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The Central Botanical Garden in the DPRK has made a lot of successes in the work to preserve and manage rare gift plants, presented by many countries of world to President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and in the research into their propagation and cultivation and the work for spreading them across the country.

This year, too, the garden completed the cultivation and propagation methods for more than 20 kinds of gift plants and registered them as national species.

The gift plants add beauty to parks and recreation grounds and contribute to greening.

The gift plants including rare flowers and ornamental trees which have been spread throughout the country for the past several decades amount to hundreds of thousands of plants of over 800 species.
