The municipality built new building-materials production bases in Hanggu and Chollima districts and Onchon County and provided a guarantee for producing and supplying various kinds of wooden goods, color tiles and other finishing building materials in a qualitative way.

The Nampho Municipal Commission of Science and Technology and other units have built and installed agitators, automatic cutters and other equipment by their own efforts to establish the production processes of colored mortar and light burned magnesia plywood and put their operation on a normal basis.

The Kangso Ceramic Factory and the Kangso District Water Supply and Sewerage and Heating Station increase the production of sanitary ceramic and various kinds of plastic pipes.

Meanwhile, the municipality has pushed ahead with the work to modernize building materials production bases so that they can make a substantial contribution to regional and rural construction by putting finishing building materials on diversifying and multi-coloring basis.
