Hamhung Youth Open-Air Theatre Built in DPRK
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The Hamhung Youth Open-Air Theatre was newly built in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

The construction of the theatre with 5 000-seat auditorium, stage, makeup room, hobby group room and acoustic and lighting facilities provided another ideological and cultural education center for schoolchildren and working people in the province.

An inauguration ceremony of the Hamhung Youth Open-Air Theatre took place on Sunday.

Present there were Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders, young people in Hamhung City and employees of the theatre.

Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made a speech at the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the theatre and enjoyed a performance given by artistes and schoolchildren.
