New Sulfur-Producing Technology Developed

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung University of the DPRK developed a new technology for producing sulfur with locally available raw materials amid the dynamic drive for implementing the resolutions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The technology, developed by a research group of the university, is of great significance for mass-producing high-quality sulfur with over 99 percent purity from the iron sulfide ore rich in the country.

Thanks to this sci-tech achievement, a good prospect has been opened for realizing the home-production of sulfur urgently needed in agriculture, power industry and other sectors of the national economy.
