In the message, the Lao president expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee and the government and people of Laos and on his own behalf to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending warm congratulations and wishful greetings to the LPRP, the government and all the people of Laos and to him on the occasion of the 48th founding anniversary of the LPDR.

I am sure that under your leadership, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will continue to register greater new successes in building a socialist power and improving the people's standard of living, the message said.

The message said that he felt high pride in the fact that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the LPDR and the DPRK with an excellent tradition have steadily developed over the past years to provide the peoples of the two countries with substantial benefits and contribute to the regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development.
