During his revolutionary life, the Chairman visited more than 14,290 units across the DPRK, traveling the distance of 669,844 kilometers equivalent to going round the earth nearly 17 times.

The forced march for field guidance made by him with indefatigable energy for the beloved country and people was a great journey of patriotic devotion unprecedented in history.

Thanks to his field guidance, the country, revolution and socialism were firmly defended, many monumental edifices were built and such proud successes were made as the industrial revolution in the new century.

All the proud successes which serve as an eternal foundation for building a thriving nation were thanks to the patriotic devotion of Kim Jong Il.

Saying that he found pleasure in covering rough paths for the country and people, he made more than 2,400-km-long forced march in the blizzards to Jagang Province in January Juche 87 (1998) and made 400-odd kilometer-long journey to the Rakwon Machine Complex (at that time) in the west coastal area from the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex in the east coastal area in one night of February 2009.

In December Juche 100 (2011), the last period of his great life, he visited the Amusement Park of Kaeson Youth Park, the Hana Music Information Centre and the Kwangbok Area Supermarket.

The nobility of his revolutionary life lies in the fact that he set the goal of his life and struggle as a revolutionary and a human being to serve the country and the people and made so devoted efforts.

Indeed, his noble revolutionary life was a sacred one run through with the most ardent patriotism in the world and the love and devotion to the people.
