Eternal Whistle of People-bound Train
Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- In December every year, the Korean people recollect with deep emotion the whistle of the people-bound train taken by Chairman Kim Jong Il till the last moments of his life.

The people-bound train is a historical witness to the touching devotion of the Chairman who made ceaseless high-intensity forced march for the people with total dedication.

During the whole revolutionary career, he used the train 1 647 times and made a forced march on train traveling over 398 000km.

The Chairman made a forced march in blizzards towards Jagang Province in the northern part of the country, visited the big bases of chemical industry in the east coast in a row early in the morning and conducted the 1 000-ri forced march from the east coast to the west coast overnight.

During those days, there were created lots of legendary stories about his love for the people along with his people-bound train called a "moving office" and "moving lodgings".

The distance of train forced march he made in Juche 98 (2009) alone with his superhuman will that other ordinary people cannot imagine is on a par with the one he traveled in train for the previous ten years.

In 2011, he made a high-intensity forced march day and night from January, when biting cold was witnessed in 60-odd years, to mid-December following the sweltering weather. The Korean people will never forget the course of his forced march in those days.

Soon after checking the document on supply of fish to Pyongyang citizens ahead of the New Year on the evening of Dec. 16, he boarded the train to give field guidance. But no one knew that the train whistle would be sounded by his last great pulse that day.

Indeed, the Chairman was on board the people-bound train till the last moments of his revolutionary career.

The whistle of the people-bound train still resounds as one of patriotism, devotion and victory, reminding the Korean people of his noble revolutionary career.
