The Ministry of Electric Power Industry has pushed ahead with the work to readjust and reinforce the production processes and facilities of power stations and improve the performance of equipment while fully satisfying the immediate demand for electricity.

This year, thermal power plants across the country have overhauled boilers and turbine generators, replaced defective turbine buckets and completed the plan for replacing and repairing air preheating devices so as to raise the combustion efficiency.

Officials and workers in the hydroelectric power field are ensuring the stability of power production by overhauling generating equipment, dredging deposits in a responsible manner and raising the operation efficiency of power stations.

The transformer substation management field has taken practical measures to protect the power supply system from disastrous meteorological phenomena and established an optimized power supply system based on a geographical information system, thus minimizing the loss of electricity in transmission.
