The institute, built at the foot of Mt Suyang, has an office building with various kinds of equipment and facilities for scientific research, greenhouse, animal shed, hostel, etc.

An inaugural ceremony took place on Tuesday.

Present there were Pak Yun Chol, secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and employees of the institute and builders.

Kim Yong Chol, chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Committee, made an inaugural address.
