Placed before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China were floral baskets in the names of the GAKC, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Jilin City branch of the Jilin Regional Association of the GAKC, the chairman of the Jilin Regional Association and the family of its former vice-chairman.

Floral baskets in the names of the GAKC and the Zhongnan Regional Association and the Dandong City Branch of the Liaoning Regional Association of the GAKC were laid at the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the art works depicting them at the DPRK embassy in Beijing and its missions in Shenyang and Dandong.

The GAKC held a memorial service at its conference room on December 17.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and other officials of the GAKC headquarters and affiliated organizations and citizens in Shenyang City.

All the participants paid silent tribute to the Chairman Kim Jong Il.

A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un by the GAKC was adopted at the meeting.

Choe Un Bok made a memorial address.

Officials of the GAKC made speeches under the titles of "The great General's whole life is one of noble patriotic devotion", "The great General's Songun revolution", "Leader of building a powerful country" and "A long journey for building a powerful country".

The participants watched a documentary film dealing with the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il.

Memorial services were also held by the Yanbian Regional Association, the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Jilin Regional Association, the Dandong City Branch of the Liaoning Regional Association and other organizations of the GAKC.
