The farm built in Jongphyong County was fully equipped with conditions for putting the breeding of terrapins on a scientific and intensive basis, including indoor terrapin blocks, feed processing factory and gravity-fed water supply and filtering facility.

An inauguration ceremony held on December 21 was attended by Wi Chol Su, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, working people and builders of Jongphyong County and employees of the farm.

Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, made an inauguration address.
