The mother of triplets is Ryu Un Bok living in Chongam-dong No. 1, Chongam District of Chongjin City in North Hamgyong Province and their father Kim Song Jin is working at the Chongjin Train Station.

Ryu Un Bok was diagnosed as a triplet pregnant woman to be sent to the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital in July and received the best medical benefits bestowed on prolific mothers

The triplets weighed 1.9, 2.28 and 2.46 kg at birth. They weighed over 4kg at the time of discharge.

The triplets and their mother leaving the hospital in good health with benevolent gifts like silver-decorated knives were seen off by medical workers.
