The completion of the project is a proud success proving practically the vitality of the economic policy of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on calling upon the coal front, an advanced base of the development of self-supporting economy to fully discharge its role as a scouting party in the overall economic development.

An inauguration ceremony took place on December 22.

Present there were O Su Yong, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Yang Sung Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Mun Kyong Dok, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, officials and builders of the complex and employees of the coal mine.

Ri Yong Chol, vice-minister of Coal Industry, made an inauguration address.
