The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who pays deep attention to the development of the national light industry, initiated the construction of a modern tetron fiber factory, appointed the site for it and energetically led the overall construction.

The building of a modern factory, equipped with polyester hollow fibre-production line and cotton-processing and quilt-producing line, helps successfully carry out the task set forth at the historic Eighth Party Congress, and provide another asset for protecting the country's ecological environment and making tangible contribution to improving the people's livelihood.

An inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday.

Present there were Kim Myong Hun, vice-department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders and employees of the factory.

Song Yong Song, director of the Ponghwa Trade Bureau, made an inauguration address.
