The completion of the institute with design rooms, board exhibition room and building materials exhibition house provides a reliable design research base conducive to the economic development and the improvement of people's living in the province.

An inaugural ceremony took place on December 23.

Present there were Han Chil Song, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders and employees of the institute.

Kim Yong Chun, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an inaugural address.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the institute.
