President Kim Il Sung led the work to form an organ specializing in designing sports facilities and make it possible to contribute to developing the country's sports.

Chairman Kim Jong Il entrusted the design of gymnasiums and stadiums across the country to the institute, showing loving care for it.

The institute has developed into a reliable design research base conducive to the sports development of the country under the care of the peerlessly great men. It has greeted a new heyday of its development under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Over the past years, it has successfully drawn up layouts and designs for the construction of more than 380 objects, including Kim Il Sung Stadium, May Day Stadium, the Badminton Gymnasium in Chongchun Street and the Pyongyang Sports Goods Factory, thus making a great contribution to the sports development of the country.

A meeting took place on December 24 to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the institute.

Sin Un Chol, director of the institute, made a report at the meeting.
