Women's Union Officials Tour Historic Sites in Mt Paektu Area
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Officials of the women's union from across the DPRK made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from Dec. 21 to 25.

After visiting the Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, they made a march to arrive at the birthplace of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

They looked round historic relics preserved at the old home, bearing in mind the noble revolutionary career of the Chairman.

Seeing the slogan-bearing trees, they looked back on the strong and noble mental world of the fighters who unhesitatingly devoted their youth and lives to the sacred war for national liberation.

They visited the Mupho Bivouac and the Mupho Angling Site after climbing up Mt Paektu.

They also toured the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site and held an oath-taking meeting before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area.

At a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerillas and a poem recitation held during the study tour, they expressed their determination to prepare themselves as competent women political activists guiding the masses by setting examples and inheriting the noble soul and spirit of the forerunners.
