Built in the area were hundreds of modern houses, public buildings and production buildings of workteams and sub-workteams.

Present at the inaugural ceremony on December 24 were Kim Man Jo, secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jang Myong Il, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, officials of the Party and power organs in Phyongwon County and agricultural workers.

Licenses for the use of houses were conferred and speeches were made at the ceremony.

Amid the cheerful dancing, moving into new houses began and officials looked round different places of the newly-built village and shared joy with agricultural workers.
