The steel works, which started the steel production based on reduced iron from July this year, has fully satisfied the demand of iron and steel of the province with its own effort.

The completion of the method of producing iron and steel based on Korean-style reduced iron has made a breakthrough for saving coal and electricity considerably and producing high-quality iron and steel with less use of scrap iron as compared with last year.

The steel works is recognized as a model of the regional steel works with high economic value and good prospect by relying on locally available raw materials including magnetic iron ore, anthracite coal and limestone.
