DPRK sportspersons won more than 100 gold medals and 30-odd trophies in various international games to demonstrate the dignity and honor of the country. And the enthusiasm for mass sports was raised across the country and big strides made in the work for putting the sports on a scientific basis and strengthening its material and technical foundations.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un indicated the orientation and ways for consistently developing the country's sports, though he was busy taking care of the overall affairs of the Party and the state, and provided significant sports and cultural events to make the revolutionary optimism and vigor prevail all over the country.
