The 73rd grand candlelight march for the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol and special inspection of Kim Kon Hui took place in Seoul on Jan. 13 with broad masses of people attending.

At the rally held on the theme of "impeachment of war maniac Yoon Suk Yeol covering up and playing down political terrorism", speakers accused Yoon's group of committing war provocations on the ground and in the East and West seas, crying out for "provocations" and "threat". This will draw all countries in Northeast Asia and the Pacific into the vortex of war, the speakers said, and called for preventing a war with the impeachment of Yoon.

They referred to the fact that Yoon gave an order for the evacuation of citizens to create the security uneasiness as soon as he vetoed a special inspection law on his wife Kim Kon Hui, and condemned it as a crafty trick to divert public criticism of his refusal of the law.

After expressing their will to launch a campaign to get those supporting Yoon Suk Yeol and Kim Kon Hui defeated in the forthcoming parliamentary election and held a ceremony of tearing up a suspension poster reading "war maniac Yoon Suk Yeol" and "Yoon Suk Yeol protecting Kim Kon Hui".

A rally to punish Yoon was held in Seoul under the sponsorship of the Emergency Action consisting of 82 civic and public organizations. At the rally people denounced Yoon for refusing the special inspection law on the irregularities and corruption of Kim Kon Hui.

The Candlelight Action sponsoring the grand candlelight march in its commentary said it is the most urgent emergency measure to impeach Yoon calling for a war on the Korean peninsula.

A civic organization in an open questionnaire addressed to Yoon escalating the danger of a war said that he is inciting confrontation whenever an opportunity presents itself, adding that confrontation will bring only war, destruction and self-destruction.

Media reported in detail about the struggle of the citizens that day, noting that "voices of citizens who have turned out in the grand candlelight march-Yoon Suk Yeol is responsible for confrontation".
