After finding one of the ways for unconditionally attaining this year's grain production goal set forth by the Party in improving the soil fertility, its officials have taken scientific and positive measures.

They urged the agricultural guidance organs in provinces, cities and counties and farms to analyze soil characteristics and set a goal for land improvement according to their types.

And they took a step to supply raw materials for slaked lime production so as to improve the acidified soil. Along with it, they have taken measures to supply fuel and vehicles needed for spreading fertile soil.

They also saw to it that provinces, cities and counties increase the production of manure by tapping resources abundant in their localities.

Meanwhile, deep attention is paid to the production of organic compound fertilizer in cities and counties.
