On the basis of a correct understanding of the tasks set forth at the plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials of the Ministry of Machine Industry have striven to ensure scientific accuracy and practicability in planning for attaining this year’s goal.

On the principle of putting the production processes on a streamlined, automated and robotized basis and creating a standard production environment, they have worked out a correct plan for updating major machine factories.

They are directing efforts to rationally organizing the forces and increasing their vision so that they can successfully carry out the work of turning the Ryongsong Machine Complex into a model of modernization.

The second-stage modernization of the Kumsong Tractor Factory is being pushed forward as planned and the detailed steps for turning the Sunchon Engine Factory, the Jonchon Rock-drill Factory and other factories into modern machinery producers equipped with latest technology are being taken.

Similar work is witnessed at the Sungri General Motor Enterprise, the Rakwon General Machine Enterprise and the Huichon Precision Machine Plant.
