Premier Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, guided the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Vice-Premiers Pak Jong Gun, Yang Sung Ho, Ri Chol Man and other members of the Cabinet.

Present as observers were officials of organs under the Cabinet and ministries, chairpersons of provincial, city and county people's committees and officials of agricultural guidance organs and major industrial establishments.

The meeting discussed the measures for carrying through the important tasks set forth at the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.

The premier of the Cabinet made public this year's plan for the development of the national economy mapped out on the basis of the resolutions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Speakers noted that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has powerfully aroused all the people to the struggle for ushering in a new era of national prosperity with his rare wisdom and energetic leadership.

They expressed the will to guarantee this year's general advance for implementing the Party's resolutions through substantial practice by redoubled and strenuous efforts on the basis of the successes and experience gained in last year's struggle that brought about a great turn and change in the glorious course of development of the DPRK.

The premier called upon all the officials to successfully carry out the national economic plans assigned to their sectors and units and thus secure a clear practical guarantee for implementing the Five-Year Plan and contribute to glorifying this year with fresh and significant achievements.

The enlarged plenary meeting adopted a relevant decision that indicates more detailed and scientific ways for bringing about improvement in the Cabinet work and the state administrative and economic work.
