Kimhwa County, which had a weak economic foundation and suffered a terrible flooding disaster in the past, has become a symbol of the regional industrial revolution and a model for all cities and other counties.

Its industrial establishments have production processes necessary for making the most effective use of agricultural products and forest resources in keeping with the geographical features of the county, 80 percent of the cultivated area of which is mountainous. And all the goods are produced with agricultural products and forest resources as main raw materials.

At least 130 kinds of foodstuffs and consumer goods are now being turned out there.

The demand for those products is growing higher with each passing day.

The increased production of cheap and quality consumer goods has brought a remarkable improvement in the living standard of inhabitants of Kimhwa County.
